Hi! It's been a minute. Life has been challenging, but I've been able to use art as an outlet, which has been nice. I've added Mortem Dei to the art section of this site, a new written piece.

the election

I’m honestly terrified of what comes next after the results from today. Regardless, I know how resilient I am and I know my trans siblings have survived worse. We will endure!

In the meantime, before Jan 5th, I’ll be scrambling to get my legal and medical records in order, and possibly moving states. It’s extremely overwhelming but I will do what I need to to survive and retain my access to healthcare.

If you’re having a hard time processing the election, know you are not alone. 70 million of us didn’t want this to happen. We must stick together, provide support, and mobilize when we can. As terrible as this administration will be, I genuinely believe it will give us all a reason to truly organize to combat fascism.

Zoe isn't my original name. It's a name I chose. The name Zoe is a Greek translation of the Hebrew name Eve, which also translates to “Life.” My intuition told me that a name that means “life” was right for me.
